VICTORY SIGN : (INDO -PAK WAR 1971 )
A MEMORABLE PICTURE TAKING THE SIGN OF VICTORY
It all started when military confrontation between India and Pakistan that occurred during the Bangladesh liberation war in East Pakistan from 3 December 1971 to the fall of Dhaka on 16 December 1971. The war began with Operation Chengiz Khan 's preemptive aerial strikes on 11 Indian Air Station , which led to the commencement of hostilities with Pakistan and Indian entry into the war for independence in East Pakistan on the side of Bengali Nationalist Forces , expanding the existing conflict with Indian and Pakistani forces engaging on both eastern and western fronts. 13 days after the war started, India achieved a clear upper hand, the Eastern Command of the Pakistan signed the instrument of surrender on 16 December 1971 in Dhaka, marking the formation as the new nation of Bangladesh.
On that time our chief of army staff is Gen. Sam Manekshaw , he played a very tremendous role of leadership in that war , due to his decision taken in a particular situation we win this war , also where Pakistan prime minister on that time was Nurul Amin , he is playing a very strategic political things with Indian govt , but Indira Gandhi leaded his nation during that time like a mother , and played the role of national patriot .
The main aim of Pakistan is to break India into two peices by attacking India from eastern front and from western front but , Indian army didn't made that thing happened .
Some territorial changes also happened:
Eastern Front:- Independence of East Pakistan as Bangladesh.
Western Front:
- Indian forces captured around 15,010 km sq (5,795 sq mi) of land in the West but returned it in the 1972 Simla agreement as a gesture of goodwill.
- Territory captured in was retained by both sides and a new Line Of Control was defined. Pakistan retained the 120 km sq (46 sq mi) Indian territory it captured in the Chhamb sector whereas India retained the 800 km sq (310 sq mi) Pakistani territory it captured on the Pakistani side of the ceasefire line opposite the Ladakh sector.
So this is how we win this war and also got the victory sign as the sign of surrender by Pakistan Army Cdr. Lt. Gen. A.A.K. Niazi .
These are the war which are the emotion of our nation , and every youth have have to know it and give his/her contribution to the development of this nation .
