ONLY FOR THIS DAY   There a re a bunch of tales circulating out there regarding the life of an defence  aspirant, especially about the toppers. Please keep in mind that truth is often different. When someone says that an UPSC DEFENCE  aspirant has to study 16 hours a day to crack this exam or that one aspirant just glanced through the textbooks and reproduced the facts to clear the exam, rest assured, these statements are highly wrong. No defence aspirant, in fact, no human being can continuously study for 16 hours a day without exhaustion engulfing him/her. Nor can anyone clear the exam by just reproducing the textbooks. A MEMORABLE PICTURE TAKING THE SIGN OF VICTORY It all started when  military confrontation between India and Pakistan  that occurred during the Bangladesh liberation war   in East Pakistan  from 3 December 1971 to the fall of Dhaka   on 16 December 1971. The war began with Operation Chengiz Khan  's preemptive aerial strikes on 11 Indian Air Station  , which led to the commencement of hostilities with Pakistan and Indian entry into the war for independence in East Pakistan on the side of Bengali Nationalist Forces  , expanding the existing conflict with Indian and Pakistani forces engaging on both eastern and western fronts.  13 days after the war started, India achieved a clear upper hand, the Eastern Command   of the Pakistan  signed the instrument of surrender   on 16 December 1971 in Dhaka, marking the formation   as the new nation of Bangladesh.
